Your vehicles are assets, ensure they're protected

In-cab alerts keep your drivers aware of what’s ahead, all the way up to 460 feet in advance. Safeguard your most valuable asset when approaching vehicles, pedestrians and other unexpected obstacles.

Imagine it’s early morning when a heavy snow storm begins to sprawl across the highway that one of your fleet drivers is traveling on. Visibility is low, and many other drivers are still adapting to the harsh conditions. Your driver is being cautious as he is transporting hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cargo and also wants to get home safe later that night.

The storm continues to get worse when suddenly the car in front of your driver starts to lose traction and slows down to gain control. But since your driver can only see a few feet in front of him and has no way to detect the other car, he crashes into the other vehicle, sending both of them into the ditch. Luckily, the other driver is ok, but your truck and cargo are damaged beyond repair.

Furthermore, your insurance costs are now elevated due to the accident. When it’s all said and done, this one accident will cost your business well over $100,000. Unfortunately, this scenario happens far too often…

Recent Cases of Avoidable Accidents

A tractor-trailer carrying 35,000 pounds of candy overturned on a Tennessee highway at around 5:26am. The driver had swerved to avoid hitting something that wasn’t detected early enough. The tractor-trailer went into a ditch, hit a concrete barrier, and crashed into another vehicle. TDOT officials immediately began cleaning up, however, it took until 7 p.m. for the road to be cleared.

A tanker truck carrying a load of glacial acrylic acid, a highly corrosive industrial chemical, crashed on Interstate 40 in Knoxville. The crash occurred at about 5 a.m. on a Sunday when the tanker rear-ended a car. After the initial crash, the truck continued up the highway, drifted into the median and struck a support pole for an overhead sign.

Both of these accidents could have been avoided if the drivers were alerted to the hazards on the road.
